“Weathering Heights” provides a sporadically-published set of insights and opinions about news, current culture and everyday occurrences, written by longtime journalist and editor William M. Dowd from the perspective of being “above it all” — living atop a mountain, overlooking the Hudson River in Upstate New York. The site has been around for more than a decade, but was recently re-launched with this new design.
